Amplifying properties. Frequency characteristics

Let's study the application of analysis in the frequency domain with AC Sweep.

In order to get the AFC and phase-frequency characteristic, it is also necessary to enter one in the AC Magnitude field of the voltage source V9.

Fig. 8 - Component properties

Configure the AC Sweep calculation by adding the following settings: We are interested in the signal at the circuit output at the OUT point in decibel representation, so select the Magnitude (dB) option.

After that, run the calculation.

Let's study the Sweep Parameter features. The idea is to calculate a number of characteristics by selecting different parameters, such as values of electronic components, source voltages, temperature, etc.

In our case, we will consider the AFC with different values of the separating capacitor's capacity. In settings of the Simulation Dashboard, select Sweep Parameter and set selection of the capacitor value as follows: make selection of the capacitor’s capacity value from 100pF to 100μF with one value per decade, i.e. the values at which the calculation is performed will be as follows: 100pF, 1nF, 10nF, 100nF, etc.

It is also necessary to expand the frequency range of the AC Sweep calculation from 1Hz.

Let's check the result:

Select names of the calculated dependencies with the cursor, thereby visually selecting the desired plot. The current value of the selected parameter is displayed at the right bottom of the plot.
